Is it weird to be treated for mental illness and work at the same place?

Quite weird, many people avoid doing that to prevent stigma. Even many pharmacists get their medications filled by different pharmacies to avoid their colleges knowing.

Anon, some of us are incurably ill, so of course we gotta work in the meantime. Especially if we don't live in some coddled nanny state that would even give us a free nurse to wipe our asses. No work = starve AND mentally ill.

They're treating you for work and mental illness in the same place?
How is your work treatment going? Did they cure it?

The hospital is split up in two parts. The first one being a regular hospital in general and the second sizable part being mental health only. From how i get the personell and word of mouth is quite segregated between the two.
I don't work there yet but from what it looks like there is a very high probability that i would in the future. Im already doing the preparations and i have family working there who don't see many issues with working there. I'd work in the information technology department.

I get it but at the same time i did not have any sort of hospitalization and the treatment is surface only. Then there is the fact that its two separated areas and i think that it wouldn't be too much of an issue but its still kinda weird i think even if nobody knows about it. Just a gut feeling.

Also what i thought. I live in a nanny state but at the same time some work i like could be kinda therapeutic. Doing something im good at and getting payed for it sounds pretty good.

I think this should cover you too.
