>weed long term effectsand no i don't have every ncbi article i've ever read on hand to give you but that is my recommended source
>does this require an excessive amount, the biggest danger here is a psychotic break and there are no studies on how that coupled with weed might harm your brain
i would tentatively assert that i doubt you can do particularly tremendous harm from a single episode and i say this as someone who has had such an episode and then recovered although repeated episodes of psychosis can cause major changes to the brain
>or for it to happen over a prolonged period of time, however, this is extensively documented and there really isn't any ambiguity that chronic weed use is bad for your brain
anecdotally i think anyone who is honest and knows potheads can attest to it too; i've watched people visibly deteriorate over the last decade
the most concerning thing is that it's so insidious and slow that you don't realise it's even happening
the healthiest answer is simply don't get high: other drugs are shown to be significantly less harmful but they are less studied and are less consistent as well as regulated (lsd but there is the risk of hppd)
since i doubt you will do that and i myself also will not do that, i suggest treating it as you would alcohol
weed is dangerous because it's easily taken lightly - sparking up takes a few minutes and lasts hours and there is none of the acute fallout of alcohol
save weed for a few times a month or even just special occasions; you will enjoy it more then anyway
speaking just for myself, the times when i smoked a lot were largely because it was simply something to do: i could get high and then that would be the evening activity or even the entire day's
