What got you into anime?
What was the first one you watched that wasn't on tv and what got you interested in that specific one?

It was Hellsing, I got the manga because the cover looked cool, then watched the anime.

Dragon Ball Z Kai runs on Nicktoons back in 2011-2012

I dont watch anime as I used to, but it started w db bc of family

i used to catch naruto part 1 and some other shows (yugioh, digimon, bakugan etc) on tv around 2013-2015, my maternal uncle also showed me some of his torrented naruto shippuden episodes that he had on his pc like the sasori vs chiyo fight
my first actual anime i chose to watch was tokyo ghoul in 2016, i think it was because i watched some youtube video (probably gigguk's "tokyo ghoul in 5 minutes")

dbz kai i guess originally or even before that maybe pokemon if you would count that but that was tv. dbz kai got me into looking up anime online though so i could watch regular dbz with the bruce falconer music and that was peak for my childhood. It's hard for me to remember the first anime I watched online other than dbz the earliest memory that comes to mind would maybe be Sword Art Online.

Idk I saw a clip of it on YouTube and went "oh wow this anime looks cool" and I used one of those anime for free sites and boom.
