i've started hoarding, i have a big pile of cardboard boxes (like, smaller ones folder flat and stuffed into the larger ones) that's about 4x4' at the base and reaches to the ceiling. other corner of the room i have a pile of grocery bags (same thing again - stuffed into each other) which is not as tall but takes up more floor space. every shelf and surface is just covered with random crap that i somehow just gradually accumulated and probably don't need but whenever i look at any individual item it's just "ah well i remember this, best keep it. and this is where it goes so i won't move it anywhere else either" and never make any attempt at cleaning or organizing.

Yes. But she saw the living room, which was less bad. Almost cozy. I'd warned her my place was cluttered.
She couldn't accom due to flat-mates, so I thought privacy was the main thing.
I've had escorts over before who didn't have a problem, though that's obviously unreliable.
Also didn't help that she arrived late, when it was getting dark, so she probably thought it was too sinister.
