I (25 f) am dating a person (17 m) from another country. He is turning 18 this year. Next year we are planning on meeting and marrying to eventually get him US citizenship so he can continue education here and so we can build a family. I am already berated online and called a pedophile or a groomer often but I wouldnt consider this the case because our relationship is healthy and has no malicious or manipulative aspects to it. How can I break the news to my family and friends about this? What do you think theyd make of it? Or should I just wait until we already marry to tell them. I have NO idea.
