You don't need to be social or take leadership role for a team sport. I am not tall either and I wasn't very fit, but I've become one of the fittest players of my team. If you train well, it can make a huge difference even if you don't train like 5 times a week. If you really want to train up those attributes I mentioned individually, you can go for a combat sport or something like badminton and tennis. I personally prefer football because there's a heavy thinking element as well. I do supplement with some calisthenics exercises every now and then.
