I showed my wife my website's Cloudflare account and how it's always being attacked. Solar requires massive amounts of space taken up for not a lot of benefit, and uses up tons of silicon that could otherwise be put to better use. Nuclear is the true necessary evil, and even then it's really overblown how dangerous it is, and that's because of fearmongering perpetuated by big oil.

As for night safety, why be out at night if worried about safety? Better to exercise caution than rape the night. It is worth the sacrifice if people are hurt but it means less light pollution. You sleep part of the night anyway so it's really just a few hours maybe. Certainly not half the day. Besides that, there is literally all day to do daytime stuff. At that point just admit if it's not done then someone fucked up and they should humbly take accountability for that and try to do right the next day. I'm not against a small reading lamp at a desk, bed, or chair. Only any light that is visible outside of homes
