Why do weebs sperg out about dubs in an anime?
I don't understand why you wouldn't rather want to watch a show in a language that you can actually understand instead of having to focus your eyes on subtitles all the time.
Yet weebs act like they detest anime dubs and it's fucking weird and I want to understand why.

Most dubs sound like shit and it's literally zero effort to read subtitles. I think most people who don't watch the sub are just slow readers or have dyslexia or something.

It's because they can hear the absolutely cringe-inducing lines that come out of the english voice actors and it irritates them (and everyone) because they understand what they're saying now instead of it being contained in subtitles.

Aside from being an abomination artistically, dubs often significantly change the script. Dubs also erase all untranslatable language and cultural details.

Subtitles are how it should be done. And well done subs should have no localization what so ever. Also, any untranslatable words should be left untranslated. Also, the best subs, when faced with concepts which do not exist in English, for a few frames entire paragraphs are displayed explaining the concept in detail which you can pause to read.

Is it just me or do English voice actors sound overly dramatic? Like nobody talks like that. It's cringe.
