It's not a diagnosis, it's a grouping of unhealthy actions that are part of a specific behavioural symptomatology. Not everyone neurodiverse has this issue, in fact it is quite rare in neurodiverse adults. It has it's own recognized screening inventory, because it is detrimental in people with it. What you are saying is similar to saying that suicide isn't real either because it's not a diagnosis.

Though I will agree that it is way too similar to oppositional defiant disorder, really the only difference is that it is rebelling against and running from any social demand, obligation, or request instead of rebelling against an authority figure's request.
