Part of this is because a hapa has absolutely nothing in common with a half black half latino culturally or genetically, and the dominant cultures evolved for a reason: because they work.
So mutts will generally cling to their ethnic culture because it's usually impossible to adhere to the expectations of white people (even "white passing" mutts still fail). The exception I've seen is wmaf hapas.
