i've always been afraid of swimming in the ocean or in rivers, you never know what animal you're gonna step on or brush up against. there's too much uncertainty.
i prefer pools

lol i was on the beach one tiem, and a fuckin crab clamped my toe. not worse than my cousin getting burnt by a jellyfish tho

Good thinking OP. Worked as a lifeguard on an Australian beach for 6 years and the amount of fucked up injuries I saw due to sealife would amaze you.

I went to San Diego with my friend in sixth grade. We were out floating in the water about four or five feet apart from one another when we both felt something swim under our feet at the exact same time. Both of us just froze. I'd never seen a Mexican kid look so pale before. We both immediately swam back to shore and just stayed in the shallow part for the rest of the day. Fuck the ocean, especially that portion because it was so murky.
