I have to agree with this anon, there's a high likelyhood its that.
I know pic related seems hard to grasp for most femoids, but unlike women, whose perception of attractiveness changes with their respective age, mens just... dont.
Doesn't matter if they are 20 or 50, to men at large, the most attractive girl is a young fertile healthy looking female that could give birth to a lot of offsping. Its just what we're biologically programmed to be into, and deviations from that are the exception, not the norm.
That doesn't mean you have to be afriad of him or that he's gonna do anything.
(Most) Males aren't animals who don't know to controll themselfes, he knows its inappropriate, and that you're his stepdaughter, and he values the connection with your mom, and that he certainly shouldn't and wont do anything etc.
But if you take out all the psychological reasons to not do it, and just view it from a purely physical return to monkey 'animal attracted by pheromones' perspective, his body tells him he should mate with you.
But because the mind tells him not to, to solve that dilemma he just distances himself from you.
Same reason I distanced myself from my younger cousin when she started to become attractive to me in my late teens. I knew its inappropriate, my family would crucify me, its impossible and not meant to be and nothings ever gonna happen. I knew all that, yet sometimes when I looked at her my brain literally did the fucking "monkey neuron activation" meme.
So I just stayed the fuck away from her until I stopped thinking about her.
