You might want to sort it by some sort of criterion (year of support/disapproval, alphabetical, etc). You can also add links to the comments, so that there are sources for the statements, if you really care.

The idea is to be able to find all the mashups that feature a specific band or song by just using some tag system. Is Excel recommended for something like that or is there a better program to do stuff like that?

But Excel is best for what you need to start, which is organizing what you have and just putting stuff down. Also, conditional formatting is your friend.
