I feel we're just built differently. We have different instincts. I kind of act autistically but I can read most emotions and social cues just fine, and I act within the confines of social convention even if a bit awkward.

Do you have friends at all? I made two friends from a hobby group (1 friend and then his wife), and then a colleague is also pretty much a friend these days. I don't really go out to any other social settings because I don't like them, especially as they almost involve alcohol which I find is quite unnecessary.
