No. I am an organism who is compelled to action by the release of brain chemicals triggered by instructions encoded in my DNA. Philosophy is a major for the unemployed who want to imagine that once they figure out the right way to think, life will have more meaning.

Life is very boring either way. I can appreciate the stories in fiction, if the author is good enough my disbelief is suspended and my imagination spurred to visualize his world.

I would argue a life built around delusion is much more difficult to maintain mentally than one rooted in realism and materialism. You waste so much brain power trying to imagine reality as something it isn't and when your delusion is shattered you become furious and irrational. Not worth it.
