Every man I know who listened to this advice got divorce-raped in court. Most marriages end in divorce, and there is no incentive for your wife not to leave you and take all your money at the slightest inconvenience. And that's ignoring the main problem that women are more hypergamous than ever before, and it is nearly impossible for an average or below-average, romantically inclined young man to find a woman who wants marriage. This useless boomer tirade of "So when are you getting married, sonny?" is utterly useless and just serves to shame and browbeat young men for something they aren't at fault for.
