I always feel as though I am 8-10 years behind where I should be in life no matter what circumstance I find myself in. Either that everyone else is aging too quickly and I am on track idk

>Seem to like more whimsical things throughout middle and highschool while others were obessed with being "adults" to the umpteenth degree
Many girls were dating dudes who were 22 once they turned 17, while the guys were constantly working and went directly into the military after highschool
>First summer job @ 17
>Didn't get my drivers license till 20
>Didn't kiss a girl till I was 20 in college
I did get flashed at 18.
>Got my college degree at 21
>didn't get my first full time job till I was 22
>lost my virginity at 28
Everyone in my hometown was wifed up or had kids out of wedlock super early and I only was able to get with someone in a cuckold type relationship who was looking for bulls.
>moved across the country at 30
>have a had string of full time jobs that last about a year or so since I have been out here.

At 37 I feel as though I should have accomplished much more than I have and should be much farther along than I am. What should I do to progress farther.

Stop quitting jobs.

I am not quitting,
>got laid off once
>one company shut down
>one screwed me over and then went under in 3 months
>one was notoriously bad and I was the only one with skill, they fired me after three raises and a free business trip randomly.
>one was a contract
>another was contract
>one said my job was complete.

You've done more than the vast majority of people on this board.
Find a woman who is in the same situation as you, they're out there. People in their late thirties start families all the time (even boomers did back in the day), if that's what you want.

I am honestly not sure truth be told, I really want to make it to the top of my career field, I am not sure if it's psylogical or not I associate theses families with broken dreams and just settling.

So many of the dudes I mentioned just live in nowheresville with their wives and just exist.

>first summer job at 15
>dont have a drivers license
>kissed some chick in my class at 13
>got flashed at like 6
>dont have an degree in anything worthwhile
>full time job at 20
>lost my virginity at 17

I'm no success story myself, but it's also just signs of the time. The only decent thing I can point to is that I've never been fired and I'm not wastefull with money so I have a nice slump of change in savings. I have friends who I'd place as solid 6'3'' 7/10 and 8/10's and alot of them still live with their parents at age 30+, some of the havent had a girlfriend since their early 20's. It's not just you. It's everyone.

We grew up with an idea of how life was going to turn out. How simple and straight forward it was going to be. get a degree at 23, get a job at 24, get a longterm gf at 25, have kids together at 28, buy a house at 30.

It just isnt like that anymore and frankly havent been like that with the exception of a very short time window in the mid to late 20th century when the western economy was going one way and that was up. We dont live in that world anymore. The world that was presented as our future doesnt exist anymore.

I'm just saying this to maybe convince you of putting your expectations a little lower.

You're the only one who can decide what you want to do. None of us can do it for you, and the majority of this site is not qualified to do it either.
Maybe start with stable employment and then put yourself out there, see how it goes.

yeah, the field has been a bit rocky for the last two years, in 2022 I was getting 4 interviews a month to like one every two months. Also my portfolio is very polarizing, I have been the top tier dude on one project and throw away jr. on another within a year of one another.

Same, I was stuck at home for almost 8 years because many studios didn't want to hire a dude in another state or bullshit reasons. Those were kinda sucky days.
