Not at all, it has become the defacto language of academia and business. Every country teaches it for a reason, it will never go away. Worst case scenario is it will become like Latin someday, a language exclusively for certain uses and known only amongst certain academics. That is unlikely to happen in our lifetimes though.

Yeah based, it should infect the global culture. Not just indian but a bit like hiphop culture has influenced english. More non europeans than europeans speak the language already, can you imagine how cool english will become if every non european on earth speaks it too. English is the language of the future.
