realistically, what's the best way to move to the US from Eastern Europe? in terms of funding, i've got an inheritance from my family who passed, and a farm that i've put up for sale. and obviously i want to start working when i get there.

i think you misread. i'm in Eastern Europe (Romania) and want to move to the US. i wanna do it because the war in Ukraine nuked the economy more than it already was and i feel frustrated knowing that no matter how much i work here, i'll never be close to affording the things i want or doing the things i wanna do

it's better and will always be better than anything here

kek that is exactly why i made this thread. i wonder if that make that information as hard and annoying to parse as possible specifically because they don't want people to leave. i just feel like i'm wasting my time here working for literal pennies.

don't know any languages other than Romanian and English. and sadly Romania has been rejected from being in Schengen so it's not like that'd make it any easier for me. above all else, i don't like how racist people in fellow EU countries are against Romanians. The US is appealing to me because i'd pretty much be a blank slate; no pre-conceived notions, no judgment, no nothing. the average person would just be like "oh, Romania? what is that?" or "is that the place with the vampires?" god, it would feel so liberating.

honestly your best bet might be to go to South Africa and pretend to be a boer refugee. I believe they're still settling them in the US although they've stopped most other forms of "refugee" resettlement because they were all obvious scams.

>No gypsy gangs in USA then to ruin the reputation?
i'm sure they exist, but the US is such a big place that they're too small and insignificant to ruin our reputation in any meaningful way there, at least compared to other types of organized crime in the states.
>Could also try Dubai or the other rich Arabs. Plenty of people get lucky there
i remember Dubai being the "dream" place everyone here would talk about moving to when i was a kid. maybe i'm just being paranoid, but the Arab countries seem scary because they seem like the kinds of places where you make one single mistake and they'll give you the death penalty without a second thought.
>>81817748
i remember seeing those clips of South African refugees entering the US and it made me feel so jealous kek. if only i lived in Ukraine, i could've been a war refugee, but instead i have to deal with all the consequences of the war: worse economy, less resources, poorer quality of life by the day, without the benefit of being a refugee.
>>81817768

There is also way more opportunity in the USA it's kind of nuts how they do it

I've heard that the Arab oil nations are importing tons of white guys to do various jobs because they're so rich they don't care and pay them well. So I think they're pretty careful about not charging them with silly crimes on a whim because then they'd lose their pipeline of workers.

as long as you're reasonably respectful of their culture, which most white people tend to be anyways.

>H1B is not a lottery
This is false.
The initial selection process for cap-subject H-1Bs (65,000 regular cap + 20,000 U.S. master's cap) is absolutely a lottery when the number of applications exceeds the cap, which it almost always does.
For example, in FY2025, 758,994 registrations were submitted for just 85,000 slots. Trust me, I looked into it for myself and it's just not realistic.

Yes, when the company sponsors you it has a high acceptance rate, but in order to be sponsored by a company you have to go through a lottery with less than 10% rate of being picked.

H1Bs are ruining the country though, regardless of how the system works. You're just reading the rules and not realizing the millions of exceptions that rich tech companies bribe their way into getting.

but America is great because it was built by Europeans and every non European / non White person we import makes the country worse slowly over time, and then faster and faster.

Ok, so the immigrants who were qualified enough to get these tech jobs over locals? You do know that H1Bs have to work at the company for a fixed duration right? That they often make much less than locals and if they get fired their visa ends and they have no hope of getting another job. So you're getting someone equally as qualified, for less pay, and basically a servant for your company.

As you yourself blatantly admit, they are NOT as qualified, they are simply willing to work for far less than an actual American and that they're are locked to the company so they don't have any other choices.

So the bossman can hire an H1B slave for far less who's stuck at the company for years at a FRACTION of the pay. Or he can hire a way more qualified worker, and pay triple, and that worker can leave at any time.

wow why would Americans want to end this sham of a system...
