The FBI actually got all pissy with apple because apple wouldn't give them access to the Sam Bernardino shooters icloud. Google actually does do this with Google drive, I literally know of someone IRL who got busted with csam for uploading it to Google drive. Google also tells you they are going to sell yoir data; because this is how they make money, they are a data selling company. Apple is profitable without doing so and takes advantage of this to position themselves as the more privacy centric platform, which by all metrics they are.
