Immigration destroyed all the trust in Western societies, the internet and information flux destroyed any trust people had in religion and the Americans getting their shit pushed in in Iraq and forcing wokeism on every other country destroyed any trust in politicians or the future.
Add to this the rise of smartphones and people just not learning how to make small talk and it's just a huge heap of cancer that is grinding everyone down. Any one of these individual things would have been alright if it was isolated, but it all happened at the same time over the last 20 years and people are all burnt out and confused because it happened so slowly. One person says it's the end of society, another will say everything is fine because they haven't noticed.
Nobody has trust in anything anymore basically.
