You know what's objectively worse than deforestation? The extreme usage of pesticides. It's actually a major issue, insect populations are down to damn near 80% in many parts of the world and well you may think "Cool, less creepy bugs and shit" you won't feel that way when enough species go completely extinct that food chain crumbles entirely and plants start dying off because there isn't anything to pollinate them.

Better get used to not going outside and eating food made in a lab because you didn't want bugs in your yard...

I heard the ocean ecosystem is now toxic or dying out too, something about toxicity rising and overfishing

Yeah, the pollution is fucking with the PH and other stuff. Overfishing has always been an issue though we're getting better about raising fish in farms and doing shit sustainably.
The pollution? I dunno, I think we're kinda fucked there.
Fun fact, it's no longer safe to drink rain water anywhere on earth anymore. truly, in our quest to sustain ourselves we are destroying everything around us.

I wish deforestation was as bad as people say. It'd be a good job to have. Let's say you get 1 dollar per seedling, you can plant like 200 a day without overdoing. You get exercise, you stay in touch with nature and get a good amount of sun exposure
>1 dollar per seedling is too much
That shows deforestation isn't that bad. If it was as bad as people say, then they wouldn't mind paying even 5-10 bucks per seedling
