I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you guys decide what to eat every day? Do you have the same thing every day? What do you eat daily?

I am LOSING MY MIND without being able to just eat the food from my school's cafeteria!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normally I got my breakfast AND lunch there, but this summer I've been making it myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big pack of chicken from the store, big box of ric, big bag of frozen peas. Same thing every night except Thursday when I splurge on Buffalo Wild Wings, and an alternating Saturdays when I'll go out to eat with friends

My only goal is to get 110-150g of protein in a day, and to eat as few calories as possible in doing so. I mostly eat protein bars, pork loin, and beef fajitas right now. Usually I eat the same foods every day for a period of several months and then get bored of it and switch to something else.

I mostly eat the same things, pasta, rice, tuna and chicken, I live in an apartment complex and the neighbours hate the smell of food so I don't have many options

ideal but not always possible, sometimes I will just eat the same thing for a week, like chilli, soup w/ rice or noodles

Buying stuff that you can use easily helps a lot. Just buy the healthier quality stuff, organic pantry foods are much better quality, getting organic marked meat and veggies I don't always do, except for certain things like milk and eggs.

Finally a kind of thread I can get behind, I don't post on r9k very often, I check the board about once a month or so, but I'll make sure to keep my eyes out for this thread when I do.

I got myself a weighted vest not too long ago to make my workout on the treadmill more intense, I usually run 11km/h for 40 mins but I wasn't able to keep that same speed yesterday when I tried it, I had to lower it to 10km/h, now my goal is to build my way up to getting used to 12 km/h while having 10 extra kg on me.
Funny part is when I took it off after the workout it briefly felt as if I was walking on the surface of the Moon, moving around took so much less effort.

don't eat every day. give your digestive system regular breaks. 24hr fast ~1/mo. I've barely eaten in the past 3 days and just noticed it.

in general i have around a dozen go-to recipes if i want to eat something nice. otherwise just filler like bodybuilder slop. also stews, which can last for a long time in the fridge and get better in the few days after the flavors set. the french have mastered this method

For breakfast? Fruit or overnight oats. For lunch? Usually more fruit or a fried egg (+ bacon, mushrooms and cheese) on a toasted slice of bread.

As for evening meals; I set aside half an hour each Sunday to plan my meals for the upcoming week.
Since I'm single, each meal I prepare is enough to last for two days. This means I only need to plan for four meals each week.
Some examples of meals I make: slow cooker chili, baked fish with lemon sauce, creamed spinach with lamb, fruit/vegetable salad with chips and sausage, mashed potatoes + slow cooker pot roast, etc.
The fourth meal is usually takeout or just a simple sandwich on days that I feel lazy.
