i remember my parents made me wear an old man used four button suit to my primary graduation. i was so upset that i didn't get a new suit. now i don't really care what i look like

My right eye is fine, great even, my left eye is worse, and that was the case my entire life.
And I wonder if this has impact on my quality of life. Sometimes I'll close the left eye, and staring with just the right one it's like reality is clearer (cause it obviously is, duh), I can't help but wonder if the brain processing the left eye too makes everything subconsciously ugly and tiring.

But I'm terrified of LASIK. For 100 stories of "this changed my life and was the best decision ever made" there's 1 where someone is in suicidal pain. I think that's enough risk to have doubts.

i didn't warp my optics by focusing excessively on close objects because i have the kind of """autism""" that has me perceiving signals to stop damaging myself and responding accordingly.

i also spent much of my childhood outside, and nutrition may also play a role. Only one in my family to not need glasses, also only one to not eat eggs, and been vegan since childhood.
