Better stack those pieces right and not damage any of of the company's property, monkey. You'd think they would build robots to do such menial backbreaking work, but no. If they could legally pay you less then they would.

It's UPS so it's not their property. There's tons of smashed open boxes by the time they even get off the conveyor belt. I actually was never told to be careful with them. Workers and supervisors alike throw them all over the place.

You are right about the wages but at least the union got us a raise in 2023.

Makes sense. At least it's not FedEx, or God forbid, the postal service. One time was doing a similar job and all the wagies got a talking to about how damaged packages hurt the company's stock prices. lol

Maintenance worker for the DOT here. I'm gonna make sure those potholes on your nearest public road stay there and grow indefinitely so your packages arrive extra damaged. Even when they become full blown sinkholes. Don't worry we'll put up a singular unsecured traffic cone and take another half a million out of your taxes for the privilege.

Everyone memories the script within a month or two..if you're saying the same words 8 hours a day it gets in muscle memory quickly.

Be careful what you wish for, it's very monotonous labor. It's only tolerable if you can easily zone out.

And UPS you just sign up on the website. If you complete an application you are automatically hired which is good for autists. Have to rush through it before someone else takes the spot
