Evolutionarily speaking, there is no concept of age for any sexually reproducing mammal, only sexual maturity. Cavemen thousands of years ago would determine a woman's sexual maturity by markers of pubescence with these markers specifically maximizing at post-pubescence. Assuming markers like birthing hips, sizeable boobs, a fattened ass, and others appear somewhere between the start of puberty and definitely at the end of puberty, then men will naturally begin to and ultimately find these individuals attractive regardless of what is arbitrarily defined by the law and culture of a society to be a "minor" or a "child". Evolution does not care. Therefore, attraction to markers of sexual maturity in youthful females is not abnormal in men but a sign of healthy testosterone levels and selection pressures for fertile women that can bear healthy children. Attraction to pre-pubescent girls is a mental illness though. In other words, scientifically and evolutionarily, there is a huge difference between pedophilia and hebephilia.

1) Selection bias. The men who don't have problems with their preferred sexual taste usually aren't in therapy in the first place.
2) Some therapists are REALLY strict with any kind of patient confidentiality. If she only has a couple of male patients and she answered that in any affirmative way, she just outed them. All you would have to do is stalk her office and find out the clientele.
3) Rather than talking about your issue or moving past it, you attempted to redirect the conversation in a way that would justify the misanthropy / paranoia / distrust / whatever issue you have. At best it's a confrontation which most female therapists aren't equipped to handle and at worst it shows you have zero interest in getting better.

Nearly all human males finds human females of ages 15-17 most attractive. This is because they are physically grown (post puberty) and do not have wrinkles or cellylite. Yes. By that age girls are developing traits that signal fertility and are literally ready to make babies. It's completely natural, but adults should still leave them alone because mentally they aren't ready to consent to see. Most men won't admit it because they think the attraction is a crime in of itself, when it's the act that's wrong.
