When did things get so hard for quiet and introverted people? It wasn't as bad in the past because they'd just hang out with/date other introverts. I had a group of introvert friends in school, and we'd hang out and play video games and card games together after school. But when school ended (over a decade ago, I'm 31), they all vanished and I never heard from them again. I've been completely alone ever since.

Where did all the introverts disappear to? Why is the modern world so introvert-unfriendly?

Introvert social groups always form around a failed-extrovert who keeps the group together. If the failed-extrovert disappears, the group collapses.

>extrovert
Being a person who exercise initiative in social settings. Agency. Not an NPC. Introverts are all NPCs waiting for someone to come along and give them directions.

That's not what introvert means at all. It has nothing to do with social skills, or lack of them.

Join a discord or something bro. You don't have to be alone forever. You don't need to go to a bar to try to pick up chicks to get friends.

There are other nerds like you online. Its obvious that they don't go outside and try to be with normies. Being alone nowadays is a choice at this point.

No. I quit all online communities in my mid-teens because they weren't filling the void.

The internet is not a substitute for real life friends.

At least for me, they were.

IRL people are fucking boring. They have strange inhibitions, they are obsessed with social queues and "acting right." Online, there is none of htat.

Some of the best memories i've had with people are in online groups. Of course, friendships don't always last forever, so i don't talk to them anymore, but IRL, its the same.

You are never gonna find weird spergy people who like the same hobbies as you by going outside.

I can't hang out with or date someone on a fucking Discord.

I want people I can hang out with IRL. I tried the whole online thing when I was a teenager, and it didn't work. It didn't fill the void in my life at all. I was still lonely and depressed.

I don't need people to talk about dumb shit online with, I need people I can actually do fun stuff with.

Having nothing but online "friends" is like eating nothing but junk food. It's fine in moderation, but it's all you eat, you're going to feel like shit and become really unhealthy in the long term.

I tried having online friends and it didn't work for me. I need something deeper than that, something real.

My only online friends is the Serbian CSS (formally CSGO) clan I play with.

Since I pretty much don't know Serbian besides basic numbers and directions/places on maps (IE: dva ukratko, two on short) I don't speak much, so they started calling me "tihi covek" at some point (which I only became aware of once it was spammed in chat after a clutch), which means silent man.
