Do you ever look around and think about how insane it is that things exist?

It's too much honestly. I'd prefer to exist in a dreamlike state where nothing of real consequence happened.

I don't really think it's insane but it's absolutely magical from a probability perspective. Once you start looking at things like the universal constants and matter-antimatter behaviors it's not really surprising that some cosmologists go a bit loopy and start believing in creationalism or simulation theory. And even then there would be a starting point

Genuinely sometimes I wake up and think of how crazy it is that I exist and everything I do effects the world around me, I wish that didn't happen and I can just kind of spectate the world

No, why wouldn't things exist if I'm capable of looking around? As a being that exists I'd have to be in the context of things that exist.

These haphazard thoughts terrify me to the point of lunacy

It's precisely this feeling that's made me consider the possibility that Christianity is real. At the end of the day, science can only provide untestable, unfalsifiable theories like an infinite regress of multiverses, but the incarnation is an empirical event that we have some reason to believe actually occurred in history.

Are you sure you're not a masochist? Hurt people hurt people but some of us try not to because we understand what it's like to be hurt and don't get excited or bitter because of it.
That's the real beauty of existence and one of many observable truths of the universe. A brightness in the night
