How do you feel when you share some sort of work, be it music, drawings, games, etc that you made and people are mean? I mean constrictive criticism is good and i know that you are supposed to just ignore mean people but it still sorta gets to me.

Oh no i know that im an amateur so i post my stuff online sometimes and ask for feedback or advice. But then there people who are just mean. I mean come on, i know its not very good and i want to get better, why are some such assholes still? Im not provoking anyone and its not insulting. I even go out of the way to stay out of professional circles because i know i don't belong there but i can't seem to escape it.

not really, no. idgaf about getting constructive feedback, personally. I'm already glad I did something and I can't be arsed to chase perfectionism where I wouldn't get criticism on technicals. I already know I'm lacking in technicals because I was within the whole process ffs. such is my mind on the matter of constructive criticism I didn't ask for

giving energy to that is unrelated to doing art and living art. instead, it's psychology. dry knowing on why's on others neurosis and trauma and their choices to succumb to bitterness will never address the fact that it's your own stance you should care about. you don't owe attention, they don't owe attention - that's what it's about. stick to business

but i literately don't know any fitting server. And most others i know also have toxicity issues like this. And besides, posting as an anon is just so nice i don't think some discord circlejerk can compete.
