Being a wagie sucks? Playing games with your human bro is the peak of male happiness? Everyone deserves a government mandated autistic wife and a little daughter?

Like seriously Japan isn't even subtle about it's politics, race, religion, gays and pedophiles lists are not the only political things in the world.

isn't the main character implied to be a lesbian or something?
So I think you can call it woke if we really stretch the definition.

The "everything's political" line is kind of dumb. Yes, people put themselves into their writing, and you can infer some things about them as a result. But when people say "political" they mean "politically sensitive." It's almost impossible for a story not to have some vague implications related to political topics but it's entirely possible not to have sensitive, hot button material.

I agree, and I will like to add that because of this entire debate the collective known as the media forgot about something called implications/subtlety
If people tell you that your story doesn't have a point because you didn't state it directly you kinda have to bite the bullet and go for the preachy route.
