The donors support the neolibs and are essentially just capitalists with vaguely left leaning beliefs. This is the older generation and the one that actually holds power in the party, but they are totally out of touch.
The newer generation overwhelmingly leans towards Democratic Socialism, but they have very little institutional support.
Until this rift is solved, they aren't going to get very far. If the dems were smart, they would drop the minority pandering, fag shit, woke shit, mass immigration platform, etc and return to being "The People's Party". Focus on supporting the average American economically and expanding the middle class.
Bernie might have been able to been able to bridge the two factions, but he's really just too old now and has already been pushed aside by the donors.
