I'd say it's state capitalism that pays nominal lip service to its communist beginnings out of tradition, but an argument can be made either way. Regardless China became wealthy by whoring its millions of laborers to the west for a couple decades and being the world factory of every kind of cheap crap, something that can't feasibly be replicated in the vast majority of past socialist countries

china isn't completely capitalist, they actually are meaningfully socialist in the sense that corporate profits are sacrificed to help develop the economy. of course in other respects they're more libertarian/capitalist than we are (they fucking hate unions pensions and nimbyism and refuse to be parasitized by crap like that). it's a good system overall.

So, Chinas policy is "socialism with Chinese characteristics". It's quite literally ideological socialism where capitalism is allowed to exist as long as it serves the Chinese people. It's how national socialism should be.

The Chinese government has direct veto powers over much of capital and decides what they do, and if the capitalists don't like it they get black bagged. In the west, it's the exact opposite

Well, it helped Red China a lot that the Western elites sold everyone out by letting them into the WTO in 2001, so they could undercut the planet with over a billion wage-slaves. Hence why the Western economy has been perma-shit since the 2000s.
As for Red China, they have the Orwellian doublethink of having to pay tribute to their state's founder, the worst mass-murderer ever, Mao, while having the sense to turn capitalist under (somewhat based) Deng. Now they are essentially one-party capitalists. Sadly, they have broken capitalism by the West outsourcing all worthwhile work and industry to them, which is why our jobs and wages are utter shit, and autists cannot even function in these leftover service jobs. Also all the deliberate understaffing and over-working of people that has become a staple of wage-cuck hell.
Yes, with Red China taking everything away from Western workers, it's long fucking overdue that we get a UBI and Keynes' 15 hour work week already. We cannot compete with slaves without becoming slaves ourselves. So let the Red Chinese have all the work. Frankly, it was a terrible mistake to have rapprochement with them in 1972, and again to not have them embargoed since 1989 until the CCP fell.
