I think the main thing that causes issues in cases like this is just the disparity in experiences. If the woman has as much experience as the man(none) then I think he can accept the situation with ease. If the woman got to experience having a normal life and had plenty of relationship experience, then that relationship will be doomed to fail. They just won't have enough in common with one another and the man most likely won't live up to her expectations and she most likely won't live up to his.
