Something I noticed was how slowly he flipped it and that even Erick kind of grabbed it and helped set it down gently resulting in no real damage being done to it.

Everything about the interaction can best be described as awkward. There just wasnt any chemistry between them and I think it got under Sam's skin when Harland made Sam's people laugh.

Personally I think he was at his peak before he decided to inject politics and Jews into everything. Probably his funniest work was "Billy and the clown" and a few of his other written pieces like "how I survived high-school" where even though he mentions politics and mocks them its not the sole focus of the work. Many of his sketches on adult swim fall into this category too where they were genuinely really funny when they weren't overly political and instead made a humorous observation about the absurdities of life.

To me it seems like Sam and Co. Undermined their own comedic talent with getting too political. Its the same with lefty comedians who inject politics into their act. People get tired of it, they hear about that enough in their day to day they dont want to hear it when they are trying to have a laugh.
