unless you're aesthetically very pleasing male, treating women "as people" will get you only in the friendzone. At one point I had more female than male friends, no one ever tried to hook me up with anyone. I was there for them to vent about some douche bag who pumped them and ghosted. I was a confidant, but never good enough for anything more, not even a friends with benefits situation. The first time a woman saw me "sexually" was when I quite brazenly started hitting on her, complimenting her choice of clothes, makeup, telling her she looks yummy and I can't control myself around her. I also got the "creep" stamp, and many of my female acquaintances accused me of acting "Out of character" (I was supposed to play the asexual asian part), but it got me further than being non-offensive and "hoping for somethig more to happen" because it wont.

It's a platitude. Designed to sound like a piece of wisdom, but It's actually obviously wrong if you think about it for more than 2 seconds. As a man, there's a real possibility that there's no women who would love you for who you are. So you have to change who you are to fit into the hegemonic masculine archetype that women as a group deem attractive. You don't have to fit into it perfectly, most likely it's not even possible, but the degree to which you manage to fit it determines you attractiveness to practically every woman you meet. I was approached a few times by girls who just liked my looks, but it happened rarely. If I only counted these as signs of interest I would never know how many more women admired me in silence. Well in previous eras, you might turn in to an attractive guy as you age by gaining muscle, wisdom, and income.

Nowadays, you still want a few female associates to keep society from turning against you, but boys need to be taught not to pursue relationships at all and instead work on themselves.
