It's crazy to think that human meat tastes like pork and we are wasting millions of pounds of pork tasting meat for no reason every year globally

Ethics don't make sense to me, what do the departed care what is done with their carcass? You could feed many poor people with the meat anyways, even if it isn't good tasting. Put it in a bun and smother barbecue on it.

most of the time when people die their meat is in dubious quality one way or the other, never mind that the departed's family may have some issues with having their relative that they know eaten

it just doesn't sit well with most people (who are not as cerebral as you are)
perhaps human meat could be sold and eaten but i think maybe the human must consent to it like, like organ donation but flesh donation, and it would be expensive (to ensure ethics and quality control etc)
so it would be more of a novel thing to do for enthusiasts
