It is difficult to believe, but only because I cannot conceive of thinking without the thinking part, the additional layer of processing which is perceived as inner monolog. But the average iq is 100, which might as well be effectively retarded based on my observations. So the absence of an inner monolog at least somewhat explains the profound bordering on profane stupidity exhibited by the average person.

If I were trying to sound smart I would have put more effort into the post. I essentially said the whole lack of internal monolog thing is bullshit but I believe it. I'm far from a moron, my intelligence is above average. The thing about iq though, it's not linear. 100 looks like a babbling retard to +2sd and 130 looks like a babbling retard to +3. These are not particularly profound revelations and the sentiment has been expressed many times before with far greater articulation than I provided.
