How do you deal with normies at work?
I work in education, and I can deal with the kids just fine. But the "adults" I work with are just obnoxious to the point of being impossible to work with.
They never stop talking about the most inane shit possible in the staff office. Details of their weekend always involve the same few activities
>alcohol
>bar
>watching sports
>possibly golf
combined with repeating whatever they saw on the front page of reddit or gossip about coworkers. I can't take this anymore. So I started taking my work to an empty classroom and doing it there.
This has led to two problems
1. Now I'm being called "antisocial" and multiple coworkers are complaining and gossiping about me
2. I actually get all my work done. Everyone else is constantly behind, so me being finished has led to even more bad feelings with staff.
My patience for my coworkers is at an all time low, my job involves working with 10-13 year olds, not placating 40 something's social needs. I can't imagine the frustration of spending 8hrs a day dealing with adult normies.
