50% depends on your marital status and 50% depends on your original culture. Western Europeans and Americans are more favorable towards ideas like "you're 18 years old now get the fuck out of my house" than others. It is also more acceptable to live with parents while single than married. Then you have cultures, like some of the southeast Asians, where familial piety is practiced and it's totally acceptable to live with your parents indefinitely so long as you aren't being a bum. Oh you're married? Cool, pick whichever family has the bigger home and move in. Now you get to live the tribal lifestyle while still being under the same roof as your pussy source. Tired of your bitch step-mother? Move out with the wife. Too poor to move out? Probably shouldn't have a wife to begin with.

Personally, I'm a white guy in the USA living with his parents at age 25 and my girlfriend doesn't care in the slightest. I save a ridiculous amount of my paycheck by living with mummy and daddy so I'm maxing out retirement accounts and investing in ETFs while most of my fellow Americans are broke as fuck.

I'm 32 and I live with my parents while I work. It's perfectly fine. The world is too fucked up and unfair to have pride about slumming it on your own. I'm just trying to build my wealth now while I have this advantage. It's not like I can buy a house and getting married and having kids is a reckless thing to do unless you are wealthy. Depends on the reason, really. With the way the world has been going lately it's a perfectly reasonable financial decision to stay with your parents indefinitely until you have the funds to do what you actually want to do. Socially though, it really depends on how you feel. Im 31 and do this and i have two other friends who are also my age and live with their parents. They even have girlfriends. I know id be happier for them if they lived by themselves and had a place they could make their own. But i get how expensive it is. My 2 cousins lived with their mom into their late 30s until they got gfs they could move in with. Id move out if could get a decent place for 1k a month but at that price around here you're living with all the poor immigrants in places with no central ac by the dollar store.

So for me its not a good thing to live with you're parents. But its not horrible.
