As a gen Z, I actually am loving the new culture. The 80s and 90s were actually pretty fucking lame as far as I'm concerned. They were the origins of the 2000s and 2010s but were mediocre and unpolished.

However, yes. I do hate the political choices right now. I do hate TikToc. But I really liked the internet too. 2008-2015 was peak. Then, it's like the internet folded over on itself and all the beautiful utopian futures and horizons it promised became perverted memes and ragebait slop. The pokemon games were the best. Minecraft was the best. Roblox was coming into its own. WoW was still relevant. Don't get me wrong, the 90s were probably "better" for normies, but I have assburgers.

The biggest pro of 2025 is that now you're actually free to let go. There's no human component of living. There's no real life community to worry about.
