Because drivers generally have the legal obligation to yield to someone merging into their lane. It doesn't matter if the other driver merges irresponsibly or wants to get over too quickly. It's like putting the shopping cart back, but for driving. also some of these mother fuckers on the road are crazy. Several people I know say an angry driver has brandished a pistol at them on the highway. I'd rather be mildly inconvenienced than shot, so.

Thats the exact opposite of the case, someone merging either onto a roadway or into another lane is responsible for ensuring it doesnt cause an accident or otherwise obstruct traffic, aka they have to yield and merge when safe. If theyre a nigger and just blast over then it may be in your best interest to avoid them, but from a legal perspective they are the nigger without the right of way
