Anybody here use finasteride? How good is it? I'm going bald and I don't want to take the L but I want to try other things before a hair transplant

Anyways, I've never tried it but I've heard that it's like this:
It works if you have baldness at the crown but you have to do it for the rest of your life.
It doesn't work if you have a receding hairline.

There is much misleading information about products like this online but finasteride does at least seem to work somewhat.

it stops it from continuing to fall out or at least dramatically slows the process, it won't regrow any appreciable amount of hair, if you have an actual bald spot you need minoxidil or a transplant too

Ye. For almost 2 years now.

It definitley does its job. No further hairloss since I started taking it - I've had some minor regrowth too but that's probably down the minoxidil which I also take. Also pretty sure it's either slowed or slightly reversed ageing in my face and reduced greasiness on my hair/face which is nice - there are some studies that suggest these can be side effects and from personal experience I believe it.

The sexual side-effects are real though. Boners/libido/cum-volume are probably at about 80% of what they were before but that's still workable and fixable to baseline or better by taking the right supplements like zinc. I think this is probably what most dudes experience on the drug - SOME sexual side effects, but not enough to matter all that much or outweigh the benefits of keeping hair.

You'll still need to take finasteride if you have a hair transplant, otherwise the rest of your MPB-susceptable hair will still fall out eventually. Just about any hair-transplant surgeon will tell you this.

It's good if you don't plan on having sex often. It kills your libido, erections, and sometimes your desire for sex because your balls start hurting more from any touch, bounce, or pressure. It was too much for me, so I quit it and just grew out my hair long enough so that my thinning wasnt noticeable .

I heard the roller makes tiny little wounds in your hair follicles that stimulate hair growth. same with the red light therapy.

if that is your fear, just eat more garlic, at least 4 cloves a day, just learn to peel them by shaking them in a tin and chopping them safely with a chopping board and cooking knife then mix them with your beans or sprinkle the chopped garlic onto your pizza or whatever
