Is there going to be drinking or other drugs and do you partake? If so bring your own and don't rely on others to float your high. There is no obligation but if that's the environment have a drink and know your limits. The best thing you can do is just be yourself without being the loudest in the room or center of attention. The more you can treat random strangers like you've always known them and you're just there to party to have a good time the better. Try your best to pick up on social cues and don't be afraid to move on from people you're not clicking with. Dancing and card or videogames are a good way to socialize but there will often be little areas where people naturally gather to talk like the kitchen or other side rooms. If you feel overwhelmed step outside for a breather. Also be the party buddy. If you see someone not having a good time try to interact with them if they don't just want to be miserable attention whores. Even the hottest people will find others avoiding them if they bring those vibes to what is suppose to be a party. Loosen up and try to keep the good energy flowing

Most people tend to not get absolutely drunk at a party and it's usually the fastest way to not be invited back or worse like sexual assaults or being robbed. It's best treated like social lubricant that some people are very experienced at even after a dozen drinks. Handle your high and know your limits. For most a beer or two is often enough when they aren't regular drinkers

My wardrobe. I pretty much either have suits (for my job) or black baggy pants, trench coats, shirts, and boots. I kind of started to dress like Paul Atreides after watching Dune because I am a Retard. Any suggestions on what I should maybe wear, or would that be fine? Wear what you want thats comfortable for the season and you're not worried to get damaged but it's also a good plan to get a feel of the crowd you'll be interacting with. However most house parties tend to be very casual and diverse with many different walks of people so don't expect to impress everyone regardless of what you wear. Clothes don't exactly make the person. Be unique or blend in. The choice is yours.
For example. If it's a punk party it's not the best idea to dress fully prep but I've seen people pull it off.
