>get basic tech support job with A+ certificate and bachelor's in IT
>I'm basically following instructions to bring a second monitor so I can have the instructions and the program up at the same time
>turn up early so I can avoid the idle chat of the morning
>work through lunch to avoid break room drama and socializing
>work late to avoid being invited anywhere and the elevator rush
>do any overtime they ask and do any training they assign me because I don't want any conflict
>have over a dozen tech certifications and am now a level 3 technician
>recently assigned some managment certifications
>check to see if this is correct and not a mistake
>they are sick of hiring buisness managers with no IT experience
>I have the best metrics and no complaints
>they want me to run the department

Send help
I'm too autistic for this. Literally diagnosed with aspergers in 2003.
I go literally days without talking to anyone in person
But I'm too weak to say no
I'm just going to follow the guidelines exactly and make no actual decisions, base everything off metrics autisticially

If you can't turn down the promotion, you'll have to move sideways to another job elsewhere and stay low-key.
Deciding everything on metrics might be the fairest way though.
Still, you should not be working all that extra time like a slave.
