I play on the European server, I liked how the trailer showed the final designs for Alice and Varka. My favorite character? Hard choice, it depends on context. Scaramouche, Venti, Xingqiu, Tighnari, Lynney, Freminnet, Heizou, Dahlia, and some others are all really nice. Unless you meant Meta teams. I have everyone so hard to say.

i used to play it but it lost its charm so hard after around sumeru where the veil started to wear off. nowadays, it's pretty much a complete cope to play gacha games at all, especially mhy ones. all characters are the same, with the same waifuist, sleeveless, oversized attachments, hair decorated designs, the same stories, the same appeals, and the actual game quality is horrendous. 10 percent of the budget goes to the flashy animations and the other 90 percent to the shareholders. and this comes from a player who has farmed dozens of thousands of primos for characters, and 100 pecented the entire map. no point, really.

That's a shame because Fontaine was better than Sumeru, it's probably the best region regarding story and exploration. Sumeru did filter a ton of people because of how excessive it was and the amount of expectations they had of the players. Natlan is kind of a let down though. I consider Genshin to be an exploration game, so I could never recommend it to anyone who was in it for combat. I too have 100% map, books, recipes, etc

I'm playing ZZZ, I like the aesthetic and music more, I skipped all the dialogue in these games anyway so the story doesn't matter to me.

A big issue with it as well is many events are plot critical (especially the 1.1, 1.2, and all the yearly summer ones), and taking the time to explore and read things in the world is necessary too to fully understand the context of many things. Which is funny given how handholdy Paimon and parts of the MSQ are. It's actually embarrassing they don't have a way for new players to access old event stories like most games have.

i haven't even done focalor's story, i actually 100 percented fontaine just to pull her on her rerun, got furina c2, and just left her on my profile lv1 with a dull blade. if anything, you're right. i enjoyed a lot the narzissenkreuz storyline, by far the best side quest in the entire game. but still, it wasn't without a bitter heart. the lack of voice acting, the reuse of assets, the pitiful animations, and especially the complete lack of attention that quest line got from others outside of myself ended up making the last note particularly sour. regardless, for one of the last things i might ever do on that game, i'm glad i did it. but on a game where everyone just pulls for the next flashy soulless character, and a game who has been obviously focusing almost exclusively on that as time went on, even with those happy notes in between, i felt stranded.

That was also my favourite quest line in the game. It's sad how many people don't actually explore and see things. I feel I might be the only one whose done every quest, hidden quest, and explored everything at times. That is what keeps me playing though, exploration. In Natlan they tried to force players to actually play the core game by rewarding exploration with lots of primos, but I don't think many people did. World quests, summer quests, and character quests have more mature and well written dialogue than the MSQ most of the time too. Which is a shame.

I will say focalor's quest is one of the best MSQ quests, though one of the most bleak. Still it has nothing on the bleakness of many of the world or character quests.

i actually particularly despised natlan because it forced its quirkiness onto you. ideally, it would be great since it's a complete new mode of exploration (and well i did 100 percent it and yes ochkanatlan is objectively the best area in the game as of now) but it felt so incredibly forced, and so blatant that they just wanted you to pull for all the funny little tribe characters to interact with their 1/6th of natlan that belonged to their funny little animal, because you *needed* the fucking animal to complete the puzzle. no other way.

as for the primos, they're always bail outs to keep you in anyways. if the map is so good, why do you need to pay me to explore it?

Honestly the only good parts of Natlan involved the overarching world quest chains. Without those you don't get to see or do cool things. I am hoping Mare Jivari in the next update is good, since it has been hyped up for years as being a terrible place.
