Depends if you're high functioning or low functioning, if you're high functioning like me then it's not much of a problem, helps me focus more than a lot of problem, but if you're the low functioning type then I imagine it being hellish, idk; I'm not that retarded lol.

Everyone's jealous of you for your cute quirks, honest eccentrism and unconventional habitus. It's an extremely unfair advantage, but all autists should take it with pride (and a slight touch of contempt for the inferior ones overwhelmed by jealousy)

Your brain gets overwhelmed and tired very easily and people seem like insane, irrational aliens who actively go out of their way to hurt each other for no good reason.

there is no answer, autism is spectrum and every autist is different, everyone that says otherwise has no clue

It the worst, imagine you are saying something in the same language but the other person claims you said something completely different and you have no clue what they are talking about. This makes socializing so so hard.

Autism tends to come with OCD or ADHD symptoms which can be pretty nasty but high-functioning autism seems to make it so you're more focused, slightly smarter and value direct, clear communication and authenticity. In theory that last point sounds like a plus but in practice it just leads to a lot of neurotypicals treating you like shit. Also you have a weird accent that changes depending on the accent you would have had but if you're from the north-east of England people will interpret you as sounding American (vidrel isn't me but it's pretty much how I sound).

It spans from drooling retard in a sped helmet seizing to death on the floor, all the way to someone smart but lonely and suicidal due to being painfully aware they are different. All cases are different. In general though high functioning people who are aware they are different tend to be very lonely and have a 400% higher suicide rate than normal people, and the lowest of functioning people tend to die really young from accidental deaths, parental murder, or seizure.

They are not wrong in one sense. People aren't golemns, but having actual proper diagnosed autism is like living in a cold alien world and not being understood, or having bad things be assumed despite your best efforts to communicate.

all of my childhood memories are embarrassing. i was a pantsshitter until like age 10. i spent all my time online before it was the norm. i hyperfixate on random topics / people / things for random chunks of time. i cant hold a job unless i work 20 or less hours per week, usually once i start hitting 20 hrs i start not wanting to go to work though so it typically is lower than that. i dont understand a lot of things in the moment only to look back and realise that i didnt understand and was being unintentionally rude in the moment. i dont have my own personality because i have constant personality phases due to obsessing over people or things. i have a compulsion to overshare and then regret it. my whole life is a compilation of embarrassing moments.

You've always been slightly awkward, kinda weird
Upside down and not all here
What's wrong with me and you is crystal clear
Sometimes I'm in a room where I don't belong
And the house is on fire and there's no alarm
And the walls are melting too
:D

Holy shit, this. Even the people I trust the most who knew me best always got angry at me and assumed the worst possible shit about things that I never at all said.
I wish normal people would just take what I say at face value in it's full complete context instead of trying to interpret some secret 'deeper' meaning, assuming my feelings (which I always state in clear language), or cherry picking parts devoid of the full context of what I am saying; to assume the exact opposite of what I said or assume the worst possible things.
I know I am bad at communicating, but I wish people could just assume good faith and take what I say at face value. Especially if they're someone whose known me for a long time, and I have only ever done caring or neutral actions towards them. It'd make no sense for me to say something bad, hateful, or mean to someone like that.

Talking with NT is very exhausting and I rather don't do it. Sadly most women are NT so that means I will never have a gf because they are even worse when it comes to this behavior than men.

Autism is not real. Did people for example in 15 century now the existance of it? No.

>Did people for example in 15 century now the existance of it? No.
Did people in the 15th century know about germs? No. The germ theory of disease isn't real, it's the four humours or divine punishment.
Really though, people with autism were known and pointed out in that era. They and the deformed are the people who became professional fools.

>you're pretty obsessed with media
>you are feel off or empty
>Retardation
>Either hyper cutesy or hyper cynical
>Excel in at least one thing during school or uni but completely fall off when you entire the real world
>Terminally online
>You have went through a "I'm a psychopath" or "I'm not like other people" phase
>you have a restrictive diet or pet peeve around food
>you go through pretty large apathetic spouts
>you have been sucked into a rabbit hole (probably politically) like communism, inceldom, feminism, etc
Honestly I wouldn't recommend it, although I can't say it's bad since people who don't have it will say im some sort of "eugencist"

Imagine being fresh off the boat in a foreign land with a wildly different culture, customs, and language. Yet never being able to adapt to that culture, or understand those customs and language. When you try to communicate, the locals assume you are being rude or what you said is misunderstood to be something wildly different.
Also you no matter how much you try you never manage to be truly be able to fully explain yourself.
You wander around lonely unable to connect yet yearning deeply for connection
Social interactions feel like you are solving puzzles or answering a college test you barely studied for.
You also don't quite understand others or what they try to communicate, making you always have to take guesses.
If you are lucky enough to be high function and above average IQ you can pass by as just being the eccentric and aloof smart guy, but even then you will be seen as weird and social interactions as a somewhat awkward
