Why did I have to be born in this era? Why do I have to compete with the billions of people on this planet, hundreds of millions in my country, and hundreds of thousands in my city for employment, resources, and even having my voice heard? Why do I have to live in the information age, where I'll never be able to make any kind of meaningful discovery or contribution to the human race? Are human beings this insignificant when there's a whole 8 billion of us on Earth?

I wish we could go back to just barely entering the industrial age and lock the world population to a max of like 1 million and prevent all technological progress beyond that point. We werent meant to live like this. We were meant to live in tribes with like at most 200 people. Our brains are literally incapable of memorizing more than 200 people.

You seem very angry. Obviously it's just wishful thinking that we'll ever go back to that lifestyle, but it's objectively how we evolved to live. Sure people died more often back then but we didn't end up isolated while surrounded by people and we always had a purpose to live.
