>just read my states official .gov code on speeding
>says a ticket cannot be issued unless youre going 10 or more over the limit
>but its worded retarded, literally says "an officer shall not issue a ticket unless the following is met: a person is recorded as going not less than 10 miles an hour over the posted limit"
Why is legalese so retarded?also im still only going to go 2-4 over just to be safe because cops enforce their intuitions, not the law

It's a psyop to make people think the law is both incomprehensible to mortals and inherently powerful. Scientists do the same shit. t. scientist. But you are based for reading the law. Just the other day I looked up what the law is on lawn mowing in my county, because I'll be damned if I'm doing more than the legal minimum and I'll also be damned if I'm going to let the county charge me to have some of their mexicans do it. Law reads "no more than 10 inches height from the ground". I can cut that shit like twice a year

I think he was on cocaine for this scene, I hear he did a lot of coke and this looks like cokehead behavior to me

I guess that's slightly annoying, but isn't the bigger issue that the limit isn't the limit?

Speedometers have some degree of inaccuracy, usually up to like 3 mph off but 10 mph grace period is huge, 5 is always what i heard unofficially

That's a shocking amount of epistemic humility for a local government. Nice

Wonder how much longer that'll hold up since people can just use chatGPT to translate/reword

It's to avoid semantic traps

If you just say over the limit you can waste resources appealing on "what limit" grounds for example, things like that.

(((They))) dominate the legal field and (((their))) neurotic culture is full of semantic games and technicalities to the point (((they))) have a long list of rituals designed to trick God, as if God is some 95 IQ midwit goy. This nonsense is reflected in our laws.

if the cop catches up to you and they don't have you pull over then the law has been broken

Stop trying to explain things for a while, just focus on understanding first

In a way thats pretty good, in my country that can technically get you for 3 km/h over, I have actually heard of people being done for going exactly the limit, cop probably had faulty equipment and you still have to prove yourself and even then you might still be found guilty.
With laws people seem to get the benefit of the doubt but some roads are probably set 10 mph below what they want because it seems like the actual limit is posted + 10 mph.
I find it weird how one country will be harsh on certain laws while others not, you would think there would a scientific censuses on what is best instead of just doing by vibes pretty much.
I was on google maps and saw how in New Mexico they have double fine areas for speeding.
I was thinking how in some way your country is better but then I saw that its normal to pay $5 to $10k in property taxes.
