How do you handle people who only ever talk about themselves, as if they're talking to themselves, and want you to care about it but don't involve you in the conversation or care about you?

Same way I deal with literally every other conversation I have in my life, I sit there and repeatedly go

>Uh huh
When they're talking about something they do like, and

When they're talking about something bad, they never even stop to realize you're not even actually reacting to anything they say. I've had fuckers talk to me for three hours straight while I say nothing but "Uh huh" and they just don't care.
