even if you have NO money at all, if you are american you can get a credit card and basically cash it out to have a few thousand USD on hand.

you can do a LOT with $2000. but most suicidal people don't do this

Now suppose you suffer for no particular reason. Death is looking at least semi choosable on a particularly bad day. I have clinical depression. It's (apparently) caused by serotonin chemical imbalances in my brain. (I think it's probably more than that, but that's what doctor's say.)
I had a great/happy childhood but around age 19-20 I very suddenly stopped loving everything I used to enjoy and lost all motivation to "live". I started feeling very hopeless, resentful, and angry/hateful.
I didn't feel happiness or joy anymore. Still don't. I don't feel a sense of accomplishment for anything I do. I can't sleep most nights. I am in constant physical pain. If I don't take SSRIs I start getting extremely dark thoughts about hurting other people and then offing myself.

How would taking a trip or maxing out a credit card or talking to a fucking girl change any of this?
